NOTICE OF ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE

IN THE SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR THE COUNTY OF PIERCE

In the Matter of the Estate of:

MANUEL E. ELLIS, Deceased.

THIS MATTER came before the court on Petitioners’ Motion For Order To Show Cause in the probate case of the Estate of Manuel E. Ellis. The Court reviewed the pleadings filed herein, including Plaintiff’s prior Motion to Show Cause, the declarations in support of the Motion and the report of the appointed Guardian Ad Litem. Having been fully advised, the Court finds that it reasonably appears that Crystal Morrison be compelled, pursuant to RCW 11.96A. et. al. and RCW 11 et. al., to appear and show cause why regarding whether an Order should be entered to require Crystal Morrison and her minor child JMC to submit to a DNA testing to determine if the minor JMC is the biological son and beneficiary to the Estate of Manuel E. Ellis. Now therefore,

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Crystal Morrison must appear before this Court on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at the Pierce County Superior Courthouse, located at 930 Tacoma Ave., Tacoma, WA. 98402, before Judge Matthew H. Thomas, and/or judge and show cause on the issue whether this Court should issue on Order to Compel Crystal Morrison, and the minor JMC to take a DNA test to determine whether the minor JMC is the biological son and beneficiary of the Estate of Manuel E. Ellis.

UPON THE FAILURE OF CRYSTAL MORRISON TO APPEAR and show cause on the date and time specified by this Order, the Court may enter such further relief as the court deems appropriate which could include entering an order compelling Crystal Morrison and Minor JMC to take a DNA test to determine whether JMC is a beneficiary of the Estate of Manuel E. Ellis, determining the minor JMC is not beneficiary of the Estate of Manuel E. Ellis and grant other relief as justice so requires.
