Bus service returns to Pacific Avenue

Pierce Transit bus service will return to normal along Pacific Avenue in downtown Tacoma effective Monday, Nov. 11, following a six-month absence.

All bus stops along Pacific Avenue between Puyallup Avenue and South13th Street will be restored to the service level provided before Tacoma Link construction detours started on April 17.

All bus stops on the detour route along South 25th and South Jefferson streets will be discontinued.

As long as light rail construction continues on Commerce Street, buses will use Market Street between South 13th and South 9th streets for the main downtown transit boarding and transfer zones. Pierce Transit plans on returning to Commerce Street in February 2003.

More information on these and other affected routes can be found in the “Rider Alert” available onboard buses and available at transit centers.
