“One individual and three organizations were selected as the 1999 Margaret K. Williams Arts Award winners. The Pierce County Arts Commission will present the awards November 4.The awards program is aimed at recognizing individuals and organizations for exceptional support of the arts and excellence in the arts. The recipients are:- Pierce College for its Student Literary and Arts Magazine;- Shirley Tomasi, executive director of the Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula Cultural Arts Committee for establishing the CAC;- Valley Arts United for establishing Arts Downtown, Puyallups outdoor gallery;- The Western Washington Fair Association for producing the Puyallup Fairs annual arts show.”
