Based on the latest reports from the states chief economist, Gov. Gary Locke told a news conference Monday that Washingtons economy continues to falter and revenue loss may be even greater than expected.
Chang Mook Sohn, who heads the Council of Economic Advisers, reported Monday that state revenue collection is off by $19 million since November, a trend he called very disappointing and surprising.
Locke said Monday that the states latest financial setback just means were going to have to dig deeper and come up with additional options…whether deeper cuts, using the reserve, who knows?
