IDmicro, Inc. has been named the winner of the coveted Marco Polo Award, to be presented at the World Trade Center Tacoma Annual Awards Event on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Tacoma Convention Center.
IDmicros significant sales growth outside the U.S. in long-range radio frequency identification technology earned the company the award.
IDmicro announced in October that it had signed two agreements with China providing such technology that will be used in automating a government operated border-crossing area between Hong Kong and Shenzen, China. The order is valued at over $500,000.
The Marco Polo Award was created by the Frank Russell Company to recognize a small or medium-sized business for first-time success in international trade.
