Community cleanup April 26 in Edison Neighborhood

Tacoma’s Edison Neighborhood is preparing for some spring cleaning on Saturday as it will be the first community this year to partner with the City of Tacoma as part of the 2014 Community Cleanup Program. In February, City officials announced the program would be implemented in 16 neighborhoods between April 26 and Sept. 6. The City will provide dumpsters for residential customers who live in single-family homes or duplexes to spruce up their properties and save a trip to the Tacoma Landfill. The first cleanup event will be held on Sat., April 26, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Edison Elementary School, located at 5830 S. Pine St., in Tacoma.
