Tacoma City Council is scheduled Tues., Aug. 9 to consider a resolution that would put City of Tacoma Initiative No. 1 on the ballot for the General Election on Tues., Nov. 8. This initiative amends Tacoma Municipal Code Title 8 to provide that marijuana or cannabis offenses be the lowest enforcement priority of the City of Tacoma. City Council is also scheduled to hear the final reading of an ordinance that would amend the municipal code, relating to zoning, prohibiting digital billboards, modifying certain definitions, and amending other provisions relating to static billboards. The Tacoma City Council meets every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, on the first floor of the Tacoma Municipal Building, 747 Market Street.
