On Feb. 9, the City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Land Use Regulatory Code regarding the use of Development Regulation Agreements that would authorize an alternative project review process for large projects or historic preservation projects of any size in the downtown area, and institutional projects on sites over five acres anywhere in the city, pursuant to the Washington State Growth Management Act. The hearing will start at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, first floor, Tacoma Municipal Building, 747 Market St.
