Members of City Council are scheduled Aug. 25 to receive a presentation from the Pierce County Health Department on using built environment strategies to promote health within Tacoma. The presentation will focus on the obesity epidemic in Pierce County and efforts underway to decrease it. The Council will not take public comment during the noon study session in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16.
