Pierce County Emergency Management is monitoring weather conditions and is prepared to open the Emergency Operations Center if needed. A winter storm watch has been called for Western Washington beginning tonight and continuing through late Wednesday. According to the National Weather Services, snow is likely Wednesday with 4 to 8 inches possible even in the lowlands.
