Appraisers from the Pierce County Assessor-Treasurer’s Office will be working on the west side of the Narrows Bridge starting in mid-September, conducting appraisal work such as physical inspection of residential properties and verifying land and building characteristics. Appraisers will be in Pierce County vehicles with county logos and exempt license plates. They will have official Pierce County identification available. State law requires the Pierce County Assessor-Treasurer’s Office to physically inspect all properties once every six years. Pierce County is divided into six geographic areas to accommodate the inspection cycle.
