City, County seek Ethnic Fest volunteers

Volunteers help make Ethnic Fest a premier celebration of cultures in the Pacific Northwest. More than 50 volunteers staff the annual event in Tacoma’s Wright Park. This year it will be held July 28-29.

Traditional ethnic foods, entertainment, arts and crafts, community information and hands-on art activities are enjoyed by tens of thousands of people at Ethnic Fest each year. Behind the scenes, volunteers work to make the fun possible. Tasks range from setting up and breaking down the booths to providing information as needed.

People of all ages are welcome to apply for volunteer slots. Those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent. To apply or receive additional information, contact Victoria Woodards at vwoodar@co.pierce.wa.us or (253) 798-7590.

Ethnic Fest is sponsored by Pierce County Council District 4 in partnership with Metro Parks and the City of Tacoma.
