Capers restaurant opened its doors this week at 701 Pacific Ave. for lunch and dinner service. The restaurant, which has a second location in Tacoma’s Proctor District, features fresh salads, sandwiches, soups, chili, and baked goods for eat-in or take-out service. The restaurant is open Monday through Friday, 10am to 8pm. It is the latest in a series of restaurants to open on the north end of Pacific Avenue downtown. Recently, Irish pub Paddy Coynes and Mexican restaurant Matador opened nearby. They joined existing eateries Vin Grotto and Meconi’s.
