Tacoma City Council is scheduled Nov. 23 to consider a resolution that would approve declaring a section of City-owned property lying within the South Shirley Street right-of-way, north of South 12th Street, as surplus and conveying the property to Habitat for Humanity at no cost. Habitat for Humanity would develop the property to provide affordable housing for low income families.
