Calendar: Pierce County Hunger Walk Sunday at Fort Steilacoom Park

The annual Pierce County Hunger Walk brings together hundreds of people with one common goal, to raise money to feed our neighbors in need.

After 36 years, this year marks the last year Associated Ministries will host the event as they pass the torch to Emergency Food Network to carry on this important work for years to come.

Associated Ministries and Emergency Food Network have come together to provide a fun and rewarding experience for walkers and runners on Sunday, Oct. 2. Participants will enjoy a picturesque course at Fort Steilacoom Park, food, live entertainment, vendors, activities for the kids, and more.

All of of the proceeds will benefit Emergency Food Network, which is a non-profit that provides 16 million pounds of food annually to 70 food banks, hot meal sites and shelters in Pierce County.
