Re-cabling work on the Murray Morgan Bridge will begin today and the bridge will be closed to pedestrians. While closed, the bridge will be braced in the upright position for the cables to be removed and replaced. The stairs to Dock Street will remain open.
The work is expected to take six weeks and the bridge is tentatively scheduled to re-open for pedestrian use in early April. The work is being done in partnership between the City and the Washington State Department of Transportation.
