The City of Tacoma has hired Kim Bedier as its new public assembly facilities director. Bedier is currently the general manager of Comcast Arena in Everett. She will join the City of Tacoma on Weds., Nov. 14. Deputy director Rob Henson had assumed the duties of interim director while the search was being completed, and will return to his former post when Bedier arrives. Bedier will oversee the Tacoma Dome, Cheney Stadium, the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center, Bicentennial Pavilion, historic Pantages and Rialto Theaters, and Theater on the Square.
