“The World Trade Center Tacoma is hosting a luncheon talk on relations with China, Friday, January 28. The speaker for the event at the Tacoma Club will be Joseph J. Borich, executive director of the Washington State China Relations Council.In his talk, Borich will address the topics of:- Terms of the bilateral U.S. – China market access agreement- The road to Chinas WTO accession and what remains to be done- China and the WTO, and what it means for China and the U.S.Borich has been associated with Chinese affairs throughout most of his career. The Washington State China Relations Council has been involved in promoting trade between China, Hong Kong and the U.S. since 1979. The not-for-profit council represents over 180 corporate members such as Boeing, Microsoft, Weyerhaeuser, Frank Russell Company, Costco Wholesale, PACCAR, Siemens, Starbucks, ports, banks, law firms, and other manufacturers, retailers and businesses in Washington.The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tacoma Club in the downtown Tacoma Wells Fargo Building, 1201 Pacific Avenue, 16th floor.Reservations are required.
