Looking for work? Job seekers can meet face-to-face with local, state and national employers during the Veterans Day Job Fair, Friday, Nov. 7, at AMVETS Post #1, 5717 South Tyler, Tacoma.The fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Job seekers are asked to bring a resume and arrive dressed for an interview. Admission is free and the event is open to anyone, particularly those with former military experience.

Representatives at the fair will be recruiting for nearly 800 positions. More than 1,000 job applicants are expected to attend. Some of the over 50 employers attending the fair include: Los Angeles Police Department, Bank of America, Emerald Queen Casino, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Corrections, Fort Lewis/ Madigan Personnel, Manor Care, FedEx Ground, Port of Seattle, U.S. Customs, Verizon Wireless, Internal Revenue, and Washington Mutual, Good Samaritan Hospital, Social Security, Gordon Trucking, and Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
