UWT offers project management program

Applications are now being accepted for a ten-week certificate program in Project Management, which begins Wednesday, Feb. 22, through the KeyBank Professional Development Center at University of Washington, Tacoma.

Professors from the Milgard School of Business are among the faculty for this program, which prepares professionals to successfully lead projects in today’s fast-paced business world.

Through a combination of theory and real-world examples, the Project Management Certificate at UWT provides students with a comprehensive study of project management in nine workshops, taken sequentially. The workshops cover such broad-ranging topics as project planning, cost and scheduling fundamentals, problem solving, communication skills and project management software applications.

Instructors for the Project Management Certificate program include Jeffrey Dean, Ph.D., finance, Milgard School of Business; G. Kent Nelson, Ph.D., management and communication, Milgard School of Business; and Lawrence Peters, Ph.D., software consultant, Software Consultants, International Ltd.
