Tacoma City Council has scheduled a special meeting Friday to discuss a range of items, according to a legal notice published this week in the Tacoma Daily Index.

Following opening comments by Tacoma Mayor Marilyn Strickland, councilmembers are expected to review City of Tacoma significant events and accomplishments last year; discuss emerging issues, such as transportation and public safety; consider objectives for 2014; and discuss strategic planning for 2015 and beyond.

The special meeting will be held on Fri., Feb. 21, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Center for Urban Waters, located at 326 East D Street.
