Several hundred bicyclists will be rolling through the Puyallup Valley Sun., June 27 as participants in the 20th annual Tour de Pierce family bike ride. Open to all levels of riders, the event starts at 7:30 a.m. in the “Gold” parking lot at the Puyallup Fair and Events Center and concludes at 2:30 p.m.
Riders choose between 12-, 30- and 50-mile routes. The 12-mile route provides a flat, easy ride suitable for families and new riders. All routes include a rest stop with refreshments. To celebrate 20 years, the first 500 riders will receive reusable bags courtesy of REI and a chance to win other prizes.
Registrations will be accepted between 7:30 and 11:30 a.m. at the event. The cost is $17 per rider and $48 for families of four. A limited supply of T-shirts will be available for an additional $15. The start is located at 110 9th Ave, S.W., in Puyallup, WA 98371.
