TCC offering international trade certificate

Tacoma Community College, the World Trade Center Tacoma and their partners are offering a new eight-week international trade certificate program.

The seminar series will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. consecutive Tuesdays beginning April 1 at the World Trade Center building in Tacoma.

Designed for business and industry professionals seeking to expand their opportunities in international trade activities, the program will provide fundamental knowledge needed to succeed in the international trade field.

Taught by business and professional experts, seminar topics will include overview and introduction to exporting; planning export market entry; export sales, marketing and promotion; export transportation, logistics and documentation; export financing, payment methods and pricing; legal and tax considerations; principles of importing; and culture and protocol considerations.

The registration fee for the eight-session series, course materials and a dinner during the final session is $375 for World Trade Center-Tacoma and Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce members, or $450 for non-members.

Participants may also register for individual sessions – $65 per session for World Trade Center-Tacoma and Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce members, $75 for non-members, and $25 to attend the dinner during the final session.

A certificate will be issued for successful completion of all sessions. The World Trade Center building is located at 3600 Port of Tacoma Rd. Seminars will be held in room 104. Free parking is available.
