Dukesbay Productions will celebrate the grand opening of its new performance venue, The Dukesbay Theater, during an open house on Thurs., May 9 in Tacoma. The new venue, located at 508 South Sixth Avenue #10, is a 1,250-square-foot, 40-seat black box theater inside the historic Merlino Art Center. The grand opening celebration begins at 7 p.m. and will include the music of vocalist Jacqueline McDowell Williams, as well as a staged reading of “A Workless Progress,” a short play by Langston Guettinger.
