Tacoma Tech Consortium to present "Biotech in Pierce County"

The Tacoma Technology Consortium resumes its regular monthly meetings, presenting “Biotech in Pierce County” on Wednesday, Jan. 16, in the Vashon Room at the Tacoma Rhodes Center – 949 Market St., fifth floor – from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Dean Glawe, Assistant Dean and Director of Washington State University’s Research and Extension Centers in Puyallup, Long Beach, Mt. Vernon and Vancouver, will discuss how research facilities are moving beyond the “green revolution” in development of the “new” agriculture.
Also, Workforce Development Council staffer Linda Nguyen will overview programs about to begin this month, and Pat Scanlon, a member of the Steering Group for the Tacoma Technology Consortium, will preview what’s ahead for the Tacoma Entrepreneurs Network.
Cost is $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
