The City of Tacoma is inviting local artists to apply for a $10,000 commission to paint a mural that reflects the history and/or architecture of Tacoma’s landmark Murray Morgan Bridge.

Qualified applicants will reside in Pierce, Kitsap, or Thurston Counties and be required to paint the mural on the concrete wall of the stormwater collection system underneath the western side of the bridge.

The application deadline is midnight on March 14, 2014.
