Tacoma ranks 32nd in traffic congestion

In a report released Tuesday, Tacoma was 32nd in terms of cities with the worst traffic congestion.

In other Pacific Northwest-related results, Seattle and Portland seem to compete for various things – and traffic is no different.

Only Portland beats Seattle this time, coming in as the No. 8 worst city with traffic congestion. Seattle ranked not far behind at No. 12.

The report provides annual congestion figures across the nation. On average, U.S. drivers spent 51 hours in 2001 waiting in traffic.
