The Tacoma Police Department will officially open its new headquarters building at 3701 S. Pine St. with a public dedication at 5 p.m. Dec. 8. The new building is the first new headquarters for the Police Department in more than 75 years, and it is only the second new building constructed for the department in its 120-year history.
