Tacoma Historical Society to screen rare 1929 film

The Tacoma Historical Society has announced local historian Ronald E. Magden will be the speaker during its 22nd annual meeting on Mon., April 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Murray Board Room at Wheelock Student Center on the University of Puget Sound Campus.

Magden will discuss “1929 Tacoma: First Showing of a Rare Film.” During the meeting, the society’s Murray Morgan Award, for historical research and writing, and the Alan Liddle Award, for achievement in historic preservation, will be presented.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
