The City of Tacoma Fire Department is hosting two applicant workshops for those interested in pursuing a career as a firefighter. The workshops, which will be held on May 10 and May 17 from 9 a.m. to noon, will provide an opportunity for candidates to learn more about the job as a firefighter with the City.
Attendees will receive helpful information about the Physical Abilities Test and will also have the chance to complete portions of the test.
Workshops are held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Tacoma Fire Department Training Center, 2124 Marshall Ave.
Appropriate exercise clothing and athletic footwear are required to participate in the hands-on activities. Employment offers will not be made at the workshops, and all attendees must be 18 years of age.
