Tacoma Community College hires business, education liaison

Tacoma Community College’s Corporate and Continuing Education department announced yesterday it has hired Ron Asahara as corporate and learning manager. According to TCC, Asahara will build relationships between the College and businesses, and analyze the workforce training needs for companies seeking a competitive advantage in growing markets.

Asahara brings more than 25 years of sales executive experience from national companies including VERILUX, Anywhere Shoe Company, Time Life Medical and Procter & Gamble.

Raised in Tacoma, Asahara is a graduate from Lincoln High School and received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Washington. He also served four years in the U.S. Army as an Ordnance Corps Officer in Frankfurt, Germany.
