Tacoma City Council to discuss libraries, city budget

Tacoma City Council and the Tacoma Library Board are scheduled to meet Tuesday at City Hall to discuss the strategic plan for the Tacoma Public Library.

Immediately following the joint study session, City of Tacoma staff will provide an update on the close of the 2011/2012 biennium budget and re-appropriations, an update on the city’s revenues and expenditures through the first quarter of this year, and information regarding a new performance measurement initiative.

Councilmembers will not take public comment during the study session, which will be held on Tues., April 30 at 12 p.m. in Room 16 of Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St. Audio from the meeting will be broadcast live on TV Tacoma and online at tvtacoma.com.
