At noon on Tues., Feb. 28, Tacoma City Council will hold a study session to receive an update on the city’s gang assessment project report. Melissa Cordeiro, the city’s human rights and human services contract specialist and Tacoma Gang Project coordinator, will provide information on the findings of the 2011 Tacoma Gang Assessment. These key findings will help guide an implementation plan for the Tacoma Gang Project. At the conclusion of Tuesday’s study session, there will be a closed session to discuss labor negotiations. Tacoma City Council will not take public comment during the meeting, which will be held in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16.
