TBC Solutions Committee Met With Our County Prosecutor

On April 18th, the TBC Solutions Committee met with Mary Robnett the Pierce County Prosecutor. We had a robust discussion of public safety issues plaguing the business community, root causes and some possible approaches to addressing these issues. It was a very productive meeting. The Pierce County Prosecutor has asked to come to our next Solutions Committee meeting which will be held on Monday, May 16th.

TBC Hosted its First Meeting with the Mayor and City Manager

On April 20th, Mayor Victoria Woodards, Chief Policy Analyst Bucoda Warren, City Manager Elizabeth Pauli, Deputy City Manager Kurtis Kingsolver, and Chief of Police Avery Moore all met with TBC Solutions Committee to talk through possible solutions to address public safety issues in Tacoma, presented by TBC on behalf of its members. The Mayor has committed to monthly meetings with us, the TBC Solutions Committee, on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The next TBC meeting with the Mayor will be on May 18th.

Town Hall with Chief Moore

Over 570 people have watched TBC’s April 11th Town Hall with Tacoma’s new Police Chief, Avery Moore. The Town Hall was a fascinating 60 minute Q&A session where the Chief had a discussion with our community, answered specific question and provided answers to many interesting questions from our community.
