Spaceworks Tacoma launches new online map

Tour the next round of Spaceworks Tacoma installations on a new, interactive online map. Check out the map on your computer or take it to the street with your smartphone by visiting .

“We are excited to launch this new online map,” says Amy McBride, the City of Tacoma’s Arts Administrator. “Now people can easily access information about the locations, the artists and the properties.”

This round of art installations will be up from July 15 – Oct. 31, and they are located on Broadway between 9th and 11th streets, at Commerce and 11th streets and at Pacific and 11th streets.

Look for new artworks from Michiko Tanaka, Lisa Kinoshita, Amy Bay, Jennifer Renee Adams, Rebecca Maxim, Anette Lusher, Julia Barbee, Jeannine Shinoda & Ariel Brice, and Tacoma Wayzgoose (prints from the 7th annual event by King’s Books and Springtide Press and including works by C.L.A.W., Stadium High School, Beautiful Angle, Ric Matthies, Charles Wright Academy, Chandler O’Leary & Jessica Spring, Audra Laymon, and Jeremy Gregory & Chris Sharp).

Locations and support for Spaceworks Tacoma are provided by property owners The Thorp/ Sorensen Family and the Marie T. Wilson Trust, Eric Cederstrand, George Howe, Al Howe, Ted Johnson, and Herb Simon; and property managers Shannon Tiegs of Roberson Building Company and Michael Norman of Neil Walter Company. Community partners include Tacoma Contemporary, Broadway Center for the Performing Arts and King’s Books.
