A pair of resolutions approved March 29 will add 390 acres of undeveloped land in the Spanaway/Fredrickson region to the service area for Tacoma Water. The first resolution extends the service area to 200 acres previously served by Rainier View Water Company, following a request by Pacific Rim Real Estate for industrial property between 200th Street East and 208th Street East along 38th Avenue East. The second resolution provides water to 110 acres zoned for an employment center and to 80 acres zoned for moderate density single family residences. Both areas are in the Pierce County Urban Growth Area.
