Resolution could approve employee class and compensation study agreement

On April 17 members of the City Council are scheduled to hear a resolution that would authorize an agreement with Milliman, Inc. for $200,000 to conduct an employee classification and market-based total compensation study of City of Tacoma General Government and Tacoma Public Utilities positions. The study will evaluate the present wage and compensation structure as compared to the specific job market for comparable positions in the public sector and relevant private employers.
