City Council members are scheduled Oct. 18 to consider a resolution that would allow the City to accept $13,320,000 in Remedial Action Grant funds under the Model Toxics Control Act from the Washington State Department of Ecology to help pay for environmental cleanup costs in the Thea Foss and Wheeler-Osgood Waterways. The total cost for cleanup of the Thea Foss Waterway is currently estimated at $77,700,000 based on an allocation performed by an independent arbitrator.
