On Mon., May 2, the City of Tacoma will host a public meeting to discuss the upcoming South 9th Street improvement project scheduled to start in July and be complete by October. The meeting is an opportunity to speak with City staff and provide feedback about the scheduling, sequencing and detour routes for the improvement project.
The project will reconstruct South 9th Street from Market Street to Commerce Street. Improvements will include new sidewalks, crosswalks, bulb outs and a new cement concrete roadway surface.
The meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. and will be held in the first floor of the Tacoma Municipal Building in the Council Chambers, 747 Market St. For more information, contact Karrie Spitzer at karrie.spitzer@cityoftacoma.org .
