During a special work session Feb. 16, Port of Tacoma Commissioners selected three finalists for an executive search firm to help find a new executive director. The finalist firms are JCS Recruitment and Shey-Harding Associates, both based in California, and Waldron & Company in Seattle. The three finalists were chosen from among nine proposals the Port received from search firms with experience recruiting maritime industry executives. Finalist presentations and interviews will be scheduled the week of Feb. 22 for another work session. The session, in Room 104 of The Fabulich Center at 3600 Port of Tacoma Rd., will be open to the public and streamed live on the Port’s Web site. Former Executive Director Tim Farrell left the top job at the end of 2009. Deputy Director John Wolfe stepped in Jan. 1 to serve as interim director until the commission hires a new leader.
