Dr. Pamela Gay, Department of Astronomy, Harvard University, will talk about podcasting as an educational outreach tool on April 10, beginning at 12:45 p.m., in Carwein Auditorium in UW Tacoma?s Keystone Building. The event is free and open to the public. She will demystify the technology and explore how this simple-to-use content creation and delivery tool is extending lessons beyond the classroom. Besides teaching classes at Harvard, Dr. Gay is co-host of a weekly podcast called Slacker Astronomy, which covers recent news in astronomy.
