PIERCE TRANSIT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED SERVICE CHANGES EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 16, 2014 A public hearing will be held as part of the Board of Commissioners' meeting on November 18, 2013. The meeting begins at 4:00 PM and is held in the Pierce Transit Rainier Conference Room, 3720 96th Street SW, Lakewood, Washington. The purpose of the hearing is to allow public comment on proposed changes to Pierce Transit bus service that will be effective February 16, 2014. The proposed changes are intended to improve customer access to Pierce Transit services by integrating local routes with a new innovative tailored service demonstration. The Fife-MiltonEdgewood Community Investment Team has recommended two route concepts focused on improving fixed route services within the Fife, Milton, and Edgewood communities and recommended service adjustments to Routes 402 and 501. * Milton-Edgewood Community Connector * Fife to Puyallup Station Community Connector * 402 Adjust four weekday trips to meet Sounder train at Puyallup Station * 501 Integrate service with proposed tailored Community Connectors These changes in transit services, if adopted, will be implemented by the February 16, 2014 service change.
