Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2003-69, repealing Chapter 19D.120 of the Pierce County Code, “Coordinated Water System Plan and Water General Plan”; and adopting a new Chapter 19D.120, “Coordinated Water System Plan and Regional Supplement 2001.”

Proposal No. 2003-70, permanently closing Clay City Road East from the intersection of Sigmond Road East to all classes of vehicles. (Eatonville area

Proposal No. 2003-72, amending Ordinance No. 2002-112s, as amended; and increasing the 2003 budget for the Economic Development Department, the Corrections Department and the Roads Construction Fund.

Messages from the Executive
A message from the Executive transmitting the following Ordinances, which were approved and signed on July 7, 2003.

Ordinance No. 2003-34, adopting a new Section 13.08.075 of the Pierce County Code, “Administrative Cancellation of Delinquent Special Assessment”; and establishing an administrative write-off policy for uncollectible delinquent utility Local Improvement District assessments.

Ordinance No. 2003-38s, amending Section 18A.25.280 J. and the industrial use category of Tables 18A.25.100 G. and 18A.25.150 E. of the Pierce County Development regulations, by separating vehicle storage yards from salvage yards, and allowing vehicle storage in the Rural Activity Center Zone through issuance of a conditional use permit; setting an effective date; and adopting findings of fact.

Ordinance No. 2003-41s, authorizing the approval of open space classification under current use assessment on certain property located within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Southwest Quarter of Section 11, Township 19 North, Range 6 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS12-02, Scott Rammell – Buckley area)

Ordinance No. 2003-46, granting supplemental franchise No. 11 to the City of Tacoma, Department of Utilities, Water Division, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, for location of water lines on certain county-owned rights-of-way.

Ordinance No. 2003-47, granting a nonexclusive franchise to Fox Island Mutual Water Association, for location of water lines on certain county-owned rights-of-way; and authorizing the County Executive to execute the franchise.

Proposal No. R2003-92, appointing one new member to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. (Dianna Redfern)

Resolutions
Proposal No. R2003-94, approving the Pierce County Board of Equalization’s request to convene to act on timely filed taxpayer petitions which exceed the requirements of Revised Code of Washington 84.48.010.
