Proposal No. 2004-40, authorizing the approval of applications for timber land classification under current use assessment on certain properties located within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County; and adopting findings of fact. Action on Resolutions
Proposal No. 2004-79, adopting the “Pierce County Council Strategic Information Technology Plan”; and requiring an update of the plan every two years.

Proposal No. 2004-80, accepting the South Hill Urban Villages Implementation Study; setting forth a phased implementation schedule; initiating amendments to the Pierce County development regulations and design standards affecting the South Hill Community Plan area, in Title 18A and Chapter 18J.50 of the Pierce County Code; requesting environmental review; referring the proposed amendments to the Planning Commission and South Hill Land Use Advisory Commission to submit recommendations back to the County Council.

Awards
“Outstanding Wastewater Treatment Plant” awarded to Pierce County’s Chambers Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, presented by the Department of Ecology to Pierce County Executive and County Council.

Chambers Creek Properties Master Site Plan for leadership in the development of Parks & Public Lands presented by Michael Kattermann, President, Washington Chapter American Planning Association (APA), to Pierce County Executive and County Council.Received at APA National Conference on April 27, 2004, in Washington, D.C.

Presentation: Chambers Creek Properties Master Site Plan for “demonstrated excellence in the Planning profession and for raising the standards for effective County planning,” presented by Michael Kattermann, President, Washington Chapter American Planning Association (APA), to Pierce County Executive and County Council. Received at the National Association of County Planners (NACP) Annual Meeting on April 27, 2004, in Washington, D.C.
