Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2001-95, amending Pierce County Code Title 18A, the Pierce County Development Regulations, Title 18A – Zoning, to amend Subsection 18A.25.100F, to require a conditional use permit, rather than administrative review, for mobile home parks in the moderate density single-family zone; and setting an effective date.
Proposal No. 2001-101, vacating a portion of 162nd Street South right-of-way, located in the Northeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 19 North, Range 3 East of the Willamette Meridian, in the Spanaway area.
Proposal No. 2001-103, amending Ordinance No. 2000-5S making applicable revisions to the maximum speed limits on certain county roads; directing the county engineer to properly implement the maximum speed limits through the use of appropriate traffic control devices; and setting an effective date.
Proposal No. 2001-113, amending Ordinance No. 2001-86s3, and increasing the budget for the general fund special projects account, and the information services fund, to provide financing for a new computer aided mass appraisal-assessment administration and tax distribution system.
Proposal No. 2002-1, vacating a portion of 64th Street East, located in the Southwest Quarter of Section 20 and the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 20 North, Range 5 East of the Willamette Meridian, in the Sumner area.
Action on Resolutions
Proposal No. R2002-6, declaring its intent to vacate a portion of 69th Avenue East, located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 18, Township 19 North, Range 4 East, of the Willamette Meridian, in the Puyallup area; and directing the county engineer to examine the intended vacation and report the findings and conclusions thereof to the council.
Proclamations/Awards/Appointments
Proposal No. R2002-3, thanking Councilmember Wendell B. Brown for his outstanding leadership during his tenure as chair of the Pierce County Council during the year 2001.
Proposal No. R2001-204, confirming the appointment of one new member to the Pierce County Landmarks Commission. (Carlos “Carl” Vest)
Proposal No. R2001-205, confirming the appointment of one new member to the Graham Advisory Commission. (Roger V. Nye)
Ordinances
Proposal No. 2001-96, repealing Sections 1., 2., and 3. of Ordinance NO. 92-43; and authorizing the county auditor to establish the size of voting precincts, consistent with Revised Code of Washington 29.04.040.
Proposal No. 2001-108, amending Ordinance No. 99-110, increasing the annual salary of the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney.
Resolutions
Proposal No. R2001-186s, authorizing the Pierce County Executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the cities and towns of Pierce County, thereby amending the Pierce County Countywide Planning Policies to address a general update, as recommended by the Pierce County Regional Council.
Proposal No. R2001-187, authorizing the Pierce County Executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the cities and towns of Pierce County, thereby amending the Pierce County Countywide Planning Policies, to address buildable lands policies as recommended by the Pierce County Regional Council.
Proposal No. R2001-188, authorizing the Pierce County Executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the cities and towns of Pierce County, amending the Pierce County Countywide Planning Policies to address the elimination of tiering as recommended by the Pierce County Regional Council.
Proposal No. R2002-1, establishing the council’s standing committees; naming the committee memberships; and setting meeting times for standing committee meetings for 2002.
