Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2001-111s, declaring certain property known as the “Fairfax Properties,” located near the Carbon River Valley of Pierce County, to be suitable for retention by Pierce County as open space resource conservancy lands; deleting said property from the roster of surplus properties of Pierce County, and the Pierce County Timber Resources Management Plan; and transferring the Fairfax Properties to the custody of the Pierce County Parks and Recreation Services Department.
Proposal No. 2001-112, approving a land lease agreement for the lease of real property between Pierce County as lessor and the Nisqually River Interpretive Center Foundation as lessee, for the construction, use, maintenance, and operation of the Nisqually River Interpretive Center.
Proposal No. 2002-4, vacating a portion of 69th Avenue East, located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 18, Township 19 North, Range 4 East, of the Willamette Meridian, in the Puyallup area.
Proposal No. 2002-5, vacating a portion of 141st Street South (Taylor Street) right-of-way, which is located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 19 North, Range 3 East of the Willamette Meridian, in the Spanaway area.
Proposal No. 2002-6, amending Section 2.64.040 of the Pierce County Code, “Jurisdiction and Authority,” adjusting the jurisdictional boundaries of the Frederickson Advisory Commission.
Action on Resolutions
Proposal No. R2002-14, amending Resolution No. R2000-176, as amended, regarding the rules for the County Council’s standing and select committees, to reflect changes in standing committee structure to take effect in the year 2002.

Proposal No. R2002-15, confirming the appointment of one new member to the Pierce County Farm Advisory Commission. (Cheryl L. Ouellette)
Proposal No. R2002-16, confirming the appointment of one new member to the Ethics Commission. (Richard McGrue)
Proposal No. R2002-17, confirming the appointment of three new members to the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Corporation of Pierce County. (Dean Seaburg, Dennis Clarke, and Bob Emerson)
Ordinances
Proposal No. 2001-101, vacating a portion of 162nd Street South right-of-way, located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 28, Township 19 North, Range 3 East of the Willamette Meridian, in the Spanaway area.
Resolutions
Proposal No. R2001-61, accepting the “Sprinker Recreation Center Master Site Plane, Phase I Report,” March 21, 2000; establishing the action plane (Phase I Report); recommending that the Pierce County Executive incorporate funding for the Phase II planning process in the year 2002 budget; and requesting the Parks and Recreation Services Department to work with the Tacoma-Pierce County Boys’ and Girls’ Club to provide facilities and develop programs.
Proposal No. R2002-9, approving, as creating a municipality, Resolution No. 2001-01 of the Economic Development Corporation of Pierce County, adopted December 12, 2001, authorizing the issuance of $8,100,000 of non-resource revenue bonds by the Economic Development Corporation of Pierce County, for purposes of financing and acquisition, improvement, and equipping of an industrial development facility for True World Foods International, Inc.
