1. New show provides county news in fast-moving format

A new weekly 10-minute local Pierce County government news program is now running on cable television. PCN – Pierce County News features a fast pace and replaces the magazine news shows that previously showed on the government channel, Pierce County Speaks and All About Parks.

PCN – Pierce County News can be viewed at 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and also Sunday on government channel C-RCC serving subscribers on Comcast Cable Channel 22 and Click! Network Channel 86. A new show starts each week on Thursday.

The show also can be seen on the Internet at http://www.rcc.pierce.wa.us. Click on Progamming Channel 22/86 and then Webcast of Channel. The show also can be accessed via www.piercecountywa.org. In the Department Directory, click on the County Council and then Council on TV.

Chloe Aquino , a graduate of Clover Park Technical College’s radio broadcasting program, serves as program host. Also working on the show are Gregg McClellan, Emmy Award winning videographer, and Megan Freiling, Emmy Award winning assistant producer. It is produced at Rainier Media Center’s studio in Lakewood.
