The Pierce County Council will go to Lakewood for an in-district meeting May 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the city council chambers, 6000 Main St. S.W. The meeting will be in Council District 6, which includes Lakewood, Steilacoom, DuPont, Roy, McKenna, Fort Lewis, McChord Air Force Base, and Anderson, McNeil and Ketron islands. The mayors of Lakewood, DuPont, Steilacoom and Roy — and the chair of the Anderson Island Citizens’ Advisory Board — will be on hand to update the council on events in their areas.
