City Council members are scheduled Aug. 2 to hear a report on the progress of the Performing Arts Steering Committee toward creating a new operating arrangement for the City’s performing arts facilities – the Pantages Theater, Rialto Theater and Theatre on the Square. The steering committee intends to have a new operation/management proposal to present to the Council for approval and implementation by the end of this year. The public may attend the noon study session in Room 16, Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., but the Council will not take public comment.
