The North Slope Historic District (NSHD) will dedicate the new park at North Eighth and K streets to the late Valerie Sivinkski, at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 8.
The former Tacoma historic preservation officer helped form the historic district.
Her efforts helped restore not only the homes but also the neighborhoods pride and value of its history – giving the neighborhood a unique sense of community.
